Infant Feeding Plan

At Magic Moments Early Learning Center, we understand the importance of providing individualized care that meets each infant’s unique feeding and development needs. Our infant program focuses on nurturing care, proper nutrition, and communication with parents to ensure your baby feels safe, loved, and supported throughout the day.

We partner with parents to create a consistent feeding and care routine, and we keep you informed about your child’s experiences and milestones through daily updates.

Feeding Options and Flexibility

We honor each family’s feeding preferences, whether it be breast milk, formula, or solid foods. Caregivers follow a personalized feeding schedule for each infant, ensuring that feedings occur on-demand or according to a set schedule, based on parental instructions.

✔ Breast Milk: Safely stored and warmed as needed.

✔ Formula: Prepared according to instructions with strict hygiene protocols.

✔ Introduction to Solids: As infants reach developmental milestones (around 4-6 months), we work with families to begin age-appropriate solids like purees, soft fruits, and cereals.

Feeding Details:

• Feedings are held in a quiet, comfortable space to ensure calm and focused attention.

• Caregivers document feeding times, amounts consumed, and any observations (e.g., appetite changes, preferences).

• We monitor signs of allergies or food sensitivities and communicate any concerns to parents immediately.

Daily Care Routine Overview

Our program prioritizes both developmentally appropriate care and maintaining a consistent schedule, helping infants feel safe and secure throughout the day.

1. Arrival & Morning Care

• Caregivers greet your baby with warm smiles and gentle reassurance.

• We check for daily updates from parents regarding sleep, feeding, and any changes in your baby’s routine.

2. Feeding & Nap Cycles

• Infants follow their natural rhythms, with feedings, naps, and playtime personalized for each child.

• Caregivers provide gentle soothing and cuddling to help infants feel calm during feeding and rest times.

3. Developmental Activities

We engage infants in activities that support physical, cognitive, and emotional development, including:

✔ Tummy Time: Strengthening neck and core muscles.

✔ Sensory Exploration: Touching different textures and playing with sensory toys.

✔ Music & Storytime: Listening to calming music and soft spoken stories to stimulate auditory development.

✔ One-on-One Interaction: Talking, singing, and encouraging early communication.

4. Diapering & Hygiene Care

• Diaper changes are done on a frequent, regular schedule and as needed.

• Caregivers follow strict hygiene protocols to maintain a safe and clean environment.

Daily Communication and Parent Updates

1. Daily Report

At the end of each day, parents receive a detailed report that includes:

✔ Feeding Information: Times, amounts consumed, and any notes on appetite.

✔ Sleep Schedule: Times and duration of naps.

✔ Diaper Changes: Frequency and observations (wet, soiled, or both).

✔ Activities and Milestones: Highlights of developmental activities, such as tummy time, sensory play, or early social interaction.

✔ Caregiver Notes: Additional observations, such as mood, new milestones, or any concerns..

Partnering with Families

We believe that strong communication between caregivers and families is essential for your baby’s success. We:

✔ Schedule regular check-ins to discuss developmental progress and milestones.

✔ Encourage parents to share any updates about changes in feeding, sleep, or routines.

✔ Provide support and guidance on developmental topics, such as introducing solids, sleep transitions, or teething.
