Our Four- and Five-Year-Old Program is designed to provide children with the skills, confidence, and enthusiasm they need to excel in kindergarten and beyond. Through a blend of hands-on learning, structured activities, and creative play, children engage in experiences that foster academic readiness, independence, and social-emotional growth in a supportive environment.

Program Goals

Our program focuses on helping children achieve key milestones in their development:

Learning Objectives for Four- and Five-Year-Olds

1. Language and Literacy:

• Recognize and write letters and begin forming simple words.

• Practice story comprehension and sequencing through books and discussions.

2. Math and Cognitive Skills:

• Count, recognize numbers, and perform basic addition and subtraction.

• Identify shapes, patterns, and measurements.

3. Science and Discovery:

• Explore scientific concepts through simple experiments and observations.

• Understand basic concepts of the natural world, like weather and plant growth.

4. Social Skills and Independence:

• Work collaboratively in group activities and problem-solving tasks.

• Practice self-help skills like organizing belongings, washing hands, and following routines.

Daily Structure for Four- and Five-Year-Olds

6:30 AM – 9:00 AM: Arrival & Free Play

Children are welcomed into a warm environment with self-directed activities like puzzles, building blocks, and imaginative play to ease into their day.

9:00 AM – 9:30 AM: Breakfast

A healthy breakfast is served to provide the energy needed for a busy morning.

9:30 AM – 10:00 AM: Morning Circle Time

Group time includes songs, calendar activities, weather discussions, and an introduction to the day’s lessons.

10:00 AM – 11:15 AM: Structured Learning Activities

• Language and Literacy: Practice writing, letter recognition, and phonics through engaging lessons.

• Math and Science: Hands-on activities like counting games, pattern recognition, and simple experiments.

11:15 AM – 12:00 PM: Outdoor Play or Gross Motor Activities

Children enjoy active play on our spacious playground, participating in group games or exploring equipment.

12:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Lunch & Nap/Quiet Time

A nutritious lunch is followed by rest time. Non-nappers engage in quiet activities such as reading or drawing.

3:00 PM – 3:30 PM: Afternoon Snack & Potty Break

A healthy snack is served, and children practice hygiene routines.

3:30 PM – 4:30 PM: Creative Arts and STEM Exploration

Children express themselves through art projects, music, or dramatic play, and participate in STEM-based challenges.

4:30 PM – 5:00 PM: Group Games & Storytime

Group activities include fun games and interactive stories to reinforce social skills and literacy development.

5:00 PM – 6:30 PM: Free Play & Closing Activities

Children wind down their day with self-directed activities or teacher-led games while awaiting pick-up.

Teacher-to-Child Ratio and Group Size

• Ratio: 1:10

• Maximum Group Size: 20 children

This ratio ensures personalized attention and care, while the group setting fosters collaboration, peer relationships, and teamwork.
